Paul is a Certified Teacher of the Royal Schools of Music in Vocal Teaching and was awarded the status with the highest classification of Excellent. Paul graduated with a first class honours degree in Education and passed the Diploma of the Associated Board of the Royal Schools of Music in Vocal Teaching with Distinction. Educated at Chetham's, he won an entrance scholarship at seventeen to study at the RNCM and subsequently worked as a session singer at the BBC and with several opera companies at home and abroad which included five years at Scottish Opera. Paul has diplomas in piano performance, pipe organ, singing, music theory and composition. He has completed the Level 1 and 2 courses in the Estill Voice Model and currently has students studying at Arts Ed, GSA, Italia Conti and Mountview. Paul is the author of fifty 'Pete the Bee' stories which are enjoyed by children (and parents) around the world.  Paul was elected as a Fellow of the Royal Society of Arts in London in 2017
